A Healthy Mind

An Editorial Project

Thinking about what people might suffer from, I chose to make a magazine about phobias and how phobias changes the lives of the people suffering from them.

Design, 3D Design and Text by Sebastian Tharaldsen

In the world we live in today, there are over 500 different documented phobias, but the list is nearly unlimited. The phobia called 'phobiaphobia', the fear of phobias – is a great example of this.

The list goes on and on, mentioning the more common ones like 'claustrophobia', but I chose to write about the more uncommon ones like 'emetophobia' – the fear of throwing up.

Because this is such a vast and uncharted territory in the mainstream society, I wanted to investigate this further.

I chose to interview a couple of people suffering from different less known phobias, basing the interviews on how I could try to tell the world about the phobias, and help the people suffering from them.

The magazine features illustrations showcasing the phobias in more humorous ways, to make the phobias easier to understand for everyone, and short stories written by a few people suffering from more common phobias.
